Introduction
I was born in 1946 and grew up in a small southern town during a remarkable time in our country's history. My father had just returned from serving in the Sea Bees during WWII and was a diesel mechanic. He could fix anything. My mother was a stay-at-home mom. Things seemed so simple then. We had no locks on our doors yet I always felt safe and secure.
I have recently been searching the corridors of my mind to mark the influence on my life by those I remember for one reason or another. I was in fact, along with others of my generation instructed by our folks to accept on blind faith their beliefs and values as a total way of life.
As it turns out, these beliefs and values have served me well. After all they were 'inflicted' upon me by people who loved me very much.
This in sharp contrast to 'people' who are trying to shove their beliefs and values on all of us and I might add, at warp speed, when we feel in our gut that our best interest is not what they have in mind.
I will endeavor in posting blogs to share with you my observations and understanding and look forward to hearing yours.
There are answers waiting to be summoned and truths there for the recognition. I can conceive of no greater transgression against our Creator or Our Founding Fathers than to close our minds and not exercise the talent we each possess….The Gift To Question.

I'm beginning this blog with a question that occurred to me shortly after Obama took office.
Is the We in "Yes We Can" the same We as in "We The People"?
If so, why is anybody who peacefully protests or even disagrees with the 'Transforming American Agenda' that's being pushed on us (at warp speed) called a 'Vast Right Wing Extremist', and said to be foot dragging, knuckle dragging Neanderthal who knows nothing but 'no' and that their extreme agenda should not be stongered by the nattering napalm of negativism. Eliot Spitzer said recently , "I call the Republican Party 'Apostles of Nihilism". They go after anyone and threaten anything that opposes them! On December 1st, David Axelrod said concerning President Kazais of Afghanistan, "We have a mutual interest in repelling extremists in that region and we're working with each other toward that end". Well I'd like to say to Mr. Axelrod and all of the 'We' in Washington that a large portion of Americans are attempting to do the same here in our country; that 'We The People' have a mutual interest in repelling extremists in a government that disregards the Constitution, has become embedded with injustice, corruption, duplicity bordering on tyranny by politicians who serve only for their 'lust for power', profit and self-interest.
Are 'We' to sit idly by while we watch this enormous legislative effort across a wide swath of issues including Healthcare, Cap and Trade, massive Spending Bills (manipulated by the 'Pork-Addicts') and a new Stimulus (pardon me, Jobs Bill) on the horizon. Our national debt is exploding, scientists manipulate data to meet their expectations and the CBO (Congressional Budget Office) answers the questions it is asked and no more, therefore Congress asks carefully restricted questions to make sure they get the answers they want.
Well, pardon me if I'm alarmed and skeptical with so many people's lives at risk with the 'ever-changing' Health Care Bill. If they don't get the 'single payer' now, they'll implement it a little at a time. The private sector fails sometime, but the government also fails and fails spectacularly; i.e. it has never run an effective insurance program, ever!, from flood insurance to deposit insurance. Social Security and Medicare are slated to go broke soon. Of course by cutting Medicare, they could kill off all the elderly people and that would help solve the Social Security problem. (Another one of those pesky questions that crosses my 'wee' mind).
The 'Cash for Clunkers' was managed so well, and the 'Cash for Caulkers' is moving right along with a D.C. based Heritage African Dancers and Drummers Troupe receiving $935,000. to weatherize 112 homes in Washington. I wonder what qualified them to perform this type of work?
All in all I'd say that most of this Legislation which is geared toward 'Redistributive Change' and 'Fundamentally Changing America' has been poorly written, poorly delivered and poorly received.
When asked if what they're trying to get passed is Constitutional, Nancy Pelosi's reply was 'Are you serious?' Well, yes Nancy 'We' are serious. More and more people are opening their eyes, getting involved and have had enough. Who would have ever thought that 'Astroturf' would take root?
Our only hope for America is that enough people will pay attention and get involved on any level they can.

Will we in America wake up before it is too late?
The choice is ours: Involvement today or enslavement tomorrow.
No one will force you and me to do what is necessary to protect our own freedom, and so it is absolutely left to each of us to decide whether or not we care enough about liberty to do what must be done to protect our freedom.
No other person can take your place or do your job in the struggle for liberty.
So our fate is in our own hands.
